The Mason-Dixon Regiment

2010 will mark the year as the Mason-Dixon Regiment unveils its medical unit.  A hospital tent has been procured and preparations are underway to introduce to the public, the impression of Dr. Mary Walker, Civil War Surgeon.   Dr. Walker was one of the few women, and the most famous woman to function as a surgeon in the American Civil War.  Her portrayal is being coordinated by Mrs. Terri Sweney, a registered nurse in real-life.  Medical and surgical items are being collected and the display will be ready for the 2010 reenactment season.  Be sure not to miss the Mason-Dixon Regiment next year for it's new medical unit...
